While the announcement that Killing Floor 2 will release for PS4 won't excite many; the actual trailer will. It will be mostly the same for PC (with additional graphical options as standard) and PS4, so be sure to take a look.
I have to say this has my very excited, and considering they will be doing the Linux port in-house as opposed to hiring outside help we should see decent support.
This will be one of the few games I will personally buy when it drops into early access.

Cant wait for this one! I played about 90 hours of the first KF on Linux, was more fun than Left4Dead2 as a solid piece of coop with friends, even though the port for out platform was full of bugs (but fully playable).
I hope the sequel will blast the hell of my Debian powered gamin PC :D

I know I already said that before, but I won't buy this until the first one is fixed.

I have the first one but it just hasn't really bitten me in the same way the Left 4 Dead games did, but KF2 looks fantastic & I'll more than likely get it.

Quoting: omer666I know I already said that before, but I won't buy this until the first one is fixed.Bad choice, as the port of the first one was outsourced and the Linux version of KF2 will be made in-house. That is not really comparable :)

Quoting: hardpenguinI know, but I don't like to be cheated. They told us they would work on it and they didn't, I don't trust them at all.Quoting: omer666I know I already said that before, but I won't buy this until the first one is fixed.Bad choice, as the port of the first one was outsourced and the Linux version of KF2 will be made in-house. Well it was Ryan Gordan "Icculus" that ported the first Killing floor to Linux.
He has got to be the most recognised and respected porter of Linux games there is.
So the only reason it should have issues is if they decided not to pay him to work on it more.
I was also very disappointed with this game. But not because the port is bad. Seems fine to me.
But it just seems like a really old, inferior, poor mans Left4Dead2. Get a similar feeling from Red Orchestra Ostfront. (also done by Icculus)
I haven't tried RO2, but so far their games seem like very cheap and nasty knockoffs of better games.
Maybe I am wrong, The games appear to have good ratings. Maybe the Linux versions are really very inferior to the windows versions? I wouldn't know. Although video's on youtube suggest they are pretty much the same.
