Always Sometimes Monsters has officially launched on Linux today, so we can all join in on the hype and see what all the fuss is about in this 2D story based adventure game.

Apparently the game is quite bleak, so don't go looking for a happy/smoochy adventure. I look forward to being depressed by it.

About the game
Out of money and out of luck you find yourself heart broken and on the verge of collapse. Your landlord's taken the key back, you can't finish your manuscript, and your beloved is marrying someone else. With no choice but to handle whatever life throws at you, you set out on the open road on a mission to win back the love of your life. The story from there is up to you. Can your life be salvaged, or are we always sometimes monsters?

You can find Always Sometimes Monsters on Steam. It's also on sale, so it's a great time to check it out if you aren't too sure.

Sadly it doesn't appear that any store other than Steam carries the Linux version. It would be nice to have a DRM free version of the Linux edition.

They have submitted the Linux version to Humble Store, according to this post, so it should be available there soon.
