Few days ago the remaster of Fahrenheit popped up on Amazon with Aspyr logos and penguins. Well, it seems that Aspyr is indeed behind the remaster and the Tux was put on there for a purpose. Behold, the next Aspyr Linux port is here!

This one surely was a big surprise. I don't think anyone could have expected this game to come out on Linux before the Amazon incident. I haven't played the original but I've only really heard good things about the game and the messages we've received from fans of the game since we reported the game popping up on Amazon have been full of excitement.

About (from https://www.fahrenheit-game.com/)

Originally released in 2005, Fahrenheit (known as Indigo Prophecy in North America) was a breakthrough in interactive narrative, teetering between the worlds of cinema and gaming while also embracing them, carving its own unique genre in the entertainment landscape. This newly remastered edition features updated graphics and full controller support for all platforms, and is based on the uncut and uncensored international version of the game.

With a rich multilayered narrative, innovative presentation, and a chilling musical score by famed Hollywood composer Angelo Badalementi, Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered serves as the definitive version of the supernatural murder mystery and (re)introduces the groundbreaking title to old and new fans alike.

How to get some free keys
Aspyr has once again generously given us some Steam keys to give out to you. And we have this tradition of making you do stuff to get those keys. Of course previously we've often asked for reasons why you love us and Aspyr but this time we'll be playing differently. Because we are dealing with a thriller game, I thought we could ask you a question that's related to the theme.

So, what is your favourite thriller story? It can be from a game, a movie or a book but we are excluding Fahrenheit from this one because it would be too easy an answer. Sorry, Fahrenheit fans! And if you are not a fan of thrillers, what has been the scariest moment in gaming for you? Bonus points for answering both! (Bonus points may or may not count towards your victory.) I'm a Linux gamer from Finland. I like reading, long walks on the beach, dying repeatedly in roguelikes and ripping and tearing in FPS games. I also sometimes write code and sometimes that includes hobbyist game development.

Best movie thriller, without a doubt goes to Memories of Murder, a South Korean detective film:

The film was also both funny and terrifying, and the way it juggles these moments attests to its greatness.

Scariest moment in gaming - probably some scenes in Dead Space and F.E.A.R., until I got used to the concept of jump scares and it wore off.

Although, I would have loved to have played Deep Sea, it sounded pretty terrifying:

My Craziest moment was in Amnesia The Dark Decent

there i was, headset set to super loud, all the lights in room switched off...
slowly and carefully crawling around in the darkness of the game... suddenly after i dropped through a hatch into a water i heard noises and saw water splashes coming directly into my direction .. i literally fell off my chair and heart started to race like crazy ... that first atempt there i ofc died because i wasnt near the keyboard anymore ...

I was quite young when I saw Alien for the first time. It freaked me out so much that I woke up that night screaming in my fathers arms. He was like "There is no way in hell you are watching the second one.", and I replied "Are you kidding? That was awesome!", and went back to sleep.

Since then it is kind of hard to scare me, but Amnesia succeeded. Although I found Penumbra games to be more captivating, or maybe thrilling is the word. :)

My favorite horror-thriller is definitely the movie Event Horizon for several reasons. My not-yet girlfriend wanted to watch a scary movie with me way back then for obvious teenage reasons. It was the scariest movie I'd ever seen at the time, so I figured why not give her a thrill. We've been married for 10 years, and it took almost as long for her to even watch Jurassic Park again because of Event Horizon (Sam Neill). Interestingly, I found out just a few months ago that my dad won't even watch Event Horizon, because he can't sleep if he does.

Honestly, I have it on my shelf and love the story about the movie more then the movie itself. I've never watched my blu-ray of it, and I'm not sure I ever will.

That would be that Michael Jackson one: all those zombies dancing. Brrr... Yet, it's kinda nice that an undead person could have a great singer career after that.

My favourite movie thrillers would be Out of Time (2003) and Palmetto (1998).

Scariest moments in gaming.... hmmmm, BSOD just before saving ;)

Wow, great job Aspyr.
Well, my favorite thriller novel is Motherless Brooklyn by Jonathan Lethem.

System Shock 2. without a doubt. everything from the build up (at least as far as i've played it, i've only got like 2 hours playtime clocked in) to the atmosphere to the enemies will just slowly eat at your nerves.
