Something quite curious has appeared on Amazon today. A remaster of a cult game Indigo Prophecy, or Fahrenheit here in Europe, has been added onto the store. And now for the really good bit: the cover has an Aspyr logo and a very familiar penguin.

Now we haven't received a confirmation from our contacts at Aspyr and Amazon has lied before, but it seems very unlikely that this would be a mistake, especially with that penguin on the cover. And if the remaster is being handled by Aspyr it could be within the realms of possibility. Naturally, we have contacted Aspyr and we will update you on the situation as we get more info.

For those of us that haven't heard of the game before or have heard very little, Fahrenheit (Indigo Prophecy) is a cinematic interactive action-adventure game where multiple murders happen all over New York and your job is to connect the dots and figure out the murderer as soon as possible. Your only leads are the mysterious ritual patterns that are linked to the murders.

Aspyr has teased on Reddit that they are working on a port that nobody would be able to guess or even expect. This does seem to fit that description. It's worth noting though that the system requirements on the Amazon page only lists Windows 7 and 8 and there is no mention of Linux anywhere except on the cover. While it seems difficult to make such a big mistake, we'd advice not to get your hopes up too high, at least until we can get a confirmation. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

They probably noticed someone had published the draft page before it was officially announced. ;)
