We have teamed up with Feral Interactive, who ported XCOM: Enemy Unknown and Empire: Total War to Linux, to bring you a fantastic new competition! Simply guess their next Linux port, and you could win a downloadable copy when it is released!
We are calling this "Operation Feral Penguins"!
Rules & Information
Utilise your tux telepathy (yes, that’s a thing) to guess the title of the first game Feral Interactive is going to bring to Linux in 2015.
Guesses will be read in the following places:
- #FeralPenguins2015 hashtag on Twitter.
- GamingOnLinux: Comment on our article here!
- Feral Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/feralinteractive/
The single winner will be selected from everyone who guesses correctly before the deadline.
The winner will not be announced until the game itself is announced, which will be early 2015. As the competition runs until mid-January, the announcement date shouldn't be too far after, so you won't have to wait long at all.

15 January 2015 at midnight (UTC)

I'd love to see some fantasy RPGs like Witcher 3, Dragon Age Inquisition or Shadow of Mordor.
But GTA would be the bomb :D
If I had to guess it would be more likely that Total War Rome II will come soon for Linux as it was teased at the announcement of the steam machines.

I'll go for the unexpected… Wolfenstein: The New Order. It would be so nice to once again have games from what's left of Id Software (now Bethesda).

Supreme Commander 2? Skyrim? Lord of the Rings:War in the North? Batman:Arkham Asylum? Banished? Dungeons? F.E.A.R? Warhammer? L.A.Noire? Torchlight II? Magicka(please)? Deus Ex? Fallout 3?

Continuing with Sega ports, OutRun 2006 Coast 2 Coast can be a candidate. Because:
From PC version:
- It's build on DX9, """easy""" portable with Valve translator.
- Runs on Wine without problems (even at 1080p!).
From Arcade version:
- One version of this arcade, runs on a Lindbergh motherboard (Pentium 4 + NVidia), that use Linux OS. Should be easy to port (House of the Dead 4, Initial D and Virtua Fighter 5 R are in the same situation)
And we know that current SteamOS catalog needs racing games.

I'd love it if it was the tomb raider, but guessing from their other mac ports and the fact that something like rome2 was already discussed I'd say Hitman. Just please, don't turn this into another strategy game. We sure appreciate them, but we've already had too much of them considering the ports of other genres.

and yes, your saying about strategy games is spot on. there are so many i stopped buying them even though i want to support porters. but, too much is too much when person who hates strategy games like me ends up with 20 of them.

I'm guessing Grand Theft Auto 5 simply because for the reason I explained in a SteamOS support forum on Steam months ago and I still believe it to this day, that game made the company bookoos of money where I believe that the game is too big to fail on any platform.
