Time is now up to add games, so you may now vote for whatever game you loved the most last year. Next year will work in a very different way too.
For this year it is whatever game you loved the most, regardless of when it was released. See the explanation on the GOTY page for details.
Next year will have multiple categories like genre, best update and so forth. That way we can cover games only released in 2015, as well as previously released game with great updates.
Percentages are rounded up to the closest, so 16.6 is 17. Just to make that clear. Just to keep things nice and round.
Go get voting, and spread the word.
Personally, I am completely torn on what to vote for.
The winner will be announced on the 14th of January 2015.
UPDATE
Just a note, all open source games now have their own category.
Votes wiped on them to be fair.
You get one vote per category.
OpenRA is still in the normal category since it's not fully open (uses closed graphics, sounds etc).
Some you may have missed, popular articles from the last month:
2014 was a great year for Linux gaming (at least for me). I do not regret finally investing in some good Steam titles now that I have revisited it, seeing many many games available for my OS.
Voting GOTY for me was really hard to pick from. From what I have played, I enjoyed these the most (if not equally):
Transistor (Supergiant just makes good games... glad I just bought Bastion too)
Shovel Knight
Dust: An Elysian Tail
Ascendant (hidden underrated gem that made me a rogue-lite fan)
Shadowrun: Dragonfall
I can't wait to see what's in store for us in 2015! Hopefully I will see promising ports like Skullgirls, The Banner Saga, Divinity: Original Sin, etc. come rolling out. :)

Quoting: GuestWhere is Battleblock Theater? :C
No one nominated it. I forgot to add a couple too, like Costume Quest 2 and TRI: Of Friendship and Madness.

As another suggestion for a category for next year: linux port quality.
Voted for Dust: An Elysian Tail because of this. It is a really, really excellent port, from gamepad support to getting it to run awesomely smooth.
