I hope you like my Michael Bay impression.
Age of Wonders III is confirmed to be heading to Linux, and it has seen more activity on the SteamDB, but the developer has noted the Linux build is a "bit too Michael Bay at the moment". Hah!
For those that don't know, Michael Bay is a director who loves his explosions, so it means the Linux version is a bit unstable right now, but it is coming!
When pointing out the new activity on the SteamDB page with there now being a Beta section for Linux, the developer said this:
sikbok, DeveloperBuilds are a bit too Michael Bay at the moment for Beta testing, but progress is being made

It looks like the Linux Beta for Age of Wonders III really isn't all that far off, and I cannot wait.
About the game
Age of Wonders III is the long anticipated sequel to the award-winning strategy series. Delivering a unique mix of Empire Building, Role Playing and Warfare, Age of Wonders III offers the ultimate in turn-based fantasy strategy for veterans of the series and new players alike!
It has "Very Positive" reviews on Steam, so if you trust user ratings (they are usually a good indicator), then once it's out (not before) for Linux be sure to pick up a copy.
Some you may have missed, popular articles from the last month:
This game is very controversial on GOG, as it another game there which many consider to have DRM. You must use their matchmaking service (requires account creation and whatnot) even for a LAN game. I am passing on this one even though I loved shadow magic.

I hope it will be available on Linux before summer sale. :D

I will say that the AOW 3 devs have been (according to them) working pretty hard to have a bug-free Linux release. I LOL about the Michael Bay comment when I read it on Steam.

It seems to be available already! I just came home and looked at my steam library, and noticed that a new entry had popped up. I'm still downloading, so I don't know if it works yet.
EDIT: Seems it's not done yet, one of the developers just posted in the Steam forums:
"We are making changes to the wiring in Steam in preparation for our Linux build. However, these are just changes to make it possible. There is no Linux build available yet."
