Tiny Robot Justice Squad is a slick looking arena shooter, but the difference isn't just in the game, all funds go to charity. I have to admit, that last part is what got me really interested, until I actually watched the trailer that is, the game looks mental (in a good way!).
TRJS is due out mid-2015 with a release date "firmly pencilled in", but I imagine they aren't telling us exactly when to keep the excitement going.
The developer is keen to note this:
Love it.
In the game, each level features a sequence of different arenas which might host unique enemies, gimmicks, or boss fights. These are connected together to form a progression, with traps, tricks and traditional-style platforming sections linking different parts of a level.
Game Features
- Action/Platformer/Arena Shooter hybrid.
- Tight platforming controls built with couch-based gameplay in mind.
- Three playable characters to choose from, each with their own unique special abilities.
- Harvest the energy of your enemies to empower your own weaponry OR unleash it all at once in devastating area-of-effect attacks.
- Earn skill points and customize yourself and your abilities
- Complete special level challenges to earn skill points and GLORY!
- 12 Guns with which to annihilate your enemies: Rocket launchers, Saw launchers, Vulcan cannons, Laser Guns, DOUBLE LASER GUNS and more.
- Seven varied levels, taking you through cities, secret bunkers, haunted laboratories and into deep space!
You can help the sole developer by voting on Steam Greenlight right now. I think it's a great idea!
I hope this works out well.
