LEGO Minifigures Online Looks Possible For Linux

Thanks to SteamDB is looks like we might get our first LEGO game! LEGO Minifigures Online is showing signs of early support for our growing platform!

About the game (Official)
LEGO Minifigures Online is a fun packed online game where you can play with thousands of other players in your favourite LEGO Worlds! Collect the awesome Minifigures and smash your enemies. Battle Dragons in Medieval World or Hades himself in Mythology World!

Join together with thousands of other players in this free-to-play online game and battle your way through monstrous enemies as you develop your Minifigures’ unique and powerful abilities. Smash, build and collect - thousands of exciting adventures are just a brick away in LEGO Minifigures Online!

What I don't entirely get, is that it states it's free-to-play, yet the only option on Steam is to buy it. If you do buy it on Steam, it seems you get a more "premium" membership for a month with extras. So, it seems you can continue playing even when your first month runs out. It's a reasonable way for developers to earn cash I guess, and online games aren't exactly cheap to run, so I can understand it from a certain point of view.

Would you play this if it did come to Linux? Remember, never pay for anything until Linux is confirmed as out, and working.

We have contacted the developer to see if they can comment on it. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Too bad it's not one of the good Lego titles by TT Games. I'd rather play even one of their early Lego Indy / SW romps than an online time-waster like this. Not my cup of tea.

Agreed. We need Lego Marvel Superheroes. It's the GTA of Lego. That game is so good I've run through it till the end, and so have my siblings.

CORRECTION: Just realised it's not TT. The developer's are FUNCOM, the publishers behind the first Dreamfall games apparently.
