Linux Now Has Over 1000 Titles On Steam

That's a bloody huge milestone. We all know quality over quantity, but with 1000+ games now on Steam for Linux, there has to be something for everyone!

The current count for me is at 1002, I imagine it may be a few lower in specific regions due to region blocking, but with more releases planned it's only going to keep growing.

I still remember the days of being in absolute denial that Steam would come to Linux, and now we have masses of games, some little and some big. We have Steam Machines with the Linux based SteamOS coming our way, and tons more big games to come.

Here's a pointless screenshot for you:

160/196 - with maybe 10 games on there I bought to play through Wine (only played 4 of those), i think the other Windows games are from bundles.

Stopped buying bundles now... Thanks Steam for the "hide from library" feature!

thanks to valve, seriously, I was one of these people as well back in the 2000's with the belief that neither Steam nor Source or whatever would ever be natively on linux!

Now I am a buyer of SteamBox as soon as it is released. Nevertheless I can't play much atm with my integrated card. Just 34 / 42 games...if someone has a gift-leftover on steam I'd be glad to unpack it .. ;D

Awww yeah. And I thought 2014 was a good year for Linux gaming but 2015 seems to get even better than 2014.

Time to get a bottle of that 7yo Havana Club :D

250/322, 70% not played! I think I've become as much a collector as a player... or should that be a hoarder?

I've definitely lost interest in games I would have snapped up when Steam first landed. I could never have imagined the choice available now and this is only the beginning :D

That's very good news!

I have 92/264, which isn't too shabby I think, since I only switched over to exclusive Linux-gaming (this far) in oct/nov last year.

Still I feel a little uncomfortable with the fact that there seems to be a ton of "simple" indie-games that I have little or no interest in with a linux "Day1-release". While on the other hand, far to may big titles are still windows only releases and far too many "mid-level" titles are the same.

Just to name a bunch of my wishlisted titles, that I'd want to have as linux native:

Resident Evil HD Remaster
Clandestine
The Age of Decadence
Legend of Grimrock II
GTA V (lol, that'd be the day when penguins fly)
Alien Isolation
Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments
Styx: Master of Shadows
Thief
The Vanishing of Ethan Carter
Murdered: Soul Suspect
Lords of the Fallen
Dead Island II
Frozen State
I Shall Remain
...and many, many others.

Lol, I don't want to rain on the parade but there's still plenty of "room for improvement" when it comes to linux native releases. Anyway, I'm feeling reasonably optimistic about 2015!

" What a time to be a Linux Gamer"? You tell me. I've just gotten my hand on Torchlight II and Saints Row IV is already waiting in my library. I can't believe I will be able to say in the future that I was on Linux even before it was a gaming platform.

Can't wait for Company of Heroes 2 and PayDay 2 on Linux. Then I'll get rid of Windows partition for good :D

330/620. I've bought way too many bundles... But I already had 100 or 200 games before Steam was released to linux and played nearly none of them. I kept telling me "I'll boot windows to play them", but never had. In fact, I've only booted windows to play games since Steam on linux was released. I've played through Antichamber, Hotline Miami and Bioshock Infinite on windows. I've also palyed a lot of Papers please an Risk of rain. But since they all (except for Bioshock) are on linux now, I don't think I'll boot windows in a near future. Except maybe for The Witness.

Now I've so much games on linux that if a game isn't on linux, it's a no buy.

And by the way, where is the Bioshock infinite port, that was supposed to be released earlier this year ?

244 - 248 games on Steam. Depends on which computer I use. Has anyone else this effect?
