This War of Mine - War Child Charity DLC

This War of Mine is a cracking survival game in one of the bleakest settings I've ever played, and now the developers have released a DLC aimed at helping out the War Child charity.

QuoteThis War of Mine - War Child Charity DLC contains unique street art pieces made by various artists.

All of 11bit studios' proceeds from this DLC go to the War Child charity focused on helping children who suffer from conflicts and wars around the world.

There are three tiers, all including the same DLC content, for those who are willing to donate more to the cause. Thank you and please don't give up on trying to make this world a better place.

You can grab the DLC at GamesRepublic which gives you a Steam key for the DLC.

If you don't yet own This War of Mine, I highly recommend it, and you can grab that at GamesRepublic too!

Thanks for reminding me to cover it nishazzar. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

damn.. even the indies are starting to ride the DLC milk train. At least the DLC is extremely reasonably priced.

It certainly looks like an interesting concept for a game but I don't think it is one for me. I may pick it up on super sale one day just to check it out. I wish there was a demo, who knows maybe it is a game I would be willing to shell out $20 for.

Have you put extensive time into it Liam?

It's easily worth the full price, great game.
See a "let's play" video.

Erm...

I greatly appreciate any efforts taking in that direction and the game is truly awesome but... no matter how many copies they sell it will never be enough because there are so many wars raging around this planet and no matter who wins, we all lose in the end.

Still, even a small drop can make a difference!

Quoting: GuestAnd - as (too) often - the notice that this game and the DLC is also available DRM-free. For those who care.

To be honest, I got used to Steam (which I avoided for a long time on Windows), so I personally do not care much, but this is still useful information that might be contained in articles as well. Another useful thing would be, in case it exists, a porter shop (like Aspyr and Feral have), so the porters get the max out of the money we pay.

As a matter of fact the DLC is also available DRM-free on GamesRepublic, and buying it there also supports GamingOnLinux, so it's a win-win-win, no need to buy it on Humble.
