Wine development team was able to produce a new experimental release today. 1.7.40 bringing many new features and as many as 29 bugfixes.

A new issue of World Wine News is also available: #388

The few most interesting features introduced in this release:
  • Support for kernel job objects.
  • Various fixes to the ListView control.
  • Better support for OOB data in Windows Sockets.
  • Support for DIB images in the OLE data cache.
  • Improved support for MSI patches.
  • Some fixes for ACL file permissions.
  • Various bug fixes.

In this wine version, origin finish game install however appears error at finish but ask restart origin and after open origin again game appears correctly installed (tested with simcity 2000)

Tested with other games like as fifa 10, fifa 11 and the sims 2 for now
