Interstellar Marines is the fantastic upcoming tactical FPS from Zero Point, and they have updated it with lots of goodies for us.

It badly needed some new online modes to keep people playing, and they have delivered! It now has Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch and Team Domination.

Not to be outdone by game modes, the game itself also features a few new subtle graphical effects. When your character is exhausted and if your helmet systems are offline, you will see your breath steam it up. A small, but fun change to see.

While not mentioned in the release notes, they now let you toggle certain graphics options like AA, SSAO and more.

They also fixed that damn keycard not appearing in one of the missions. I imagine myself and Samsai will be streaming it a little more now, as that keycard bug was holding us up a bit. I think we spent about half an hour trying to find a keycard that didn't exist, but now we can finally finish that mission!

It's sad their Unity 5 conversion was taking too long, so it looks like it has been stopped for now to keep working on new content.

See their full release notes here.

Check out Interstellar Marines on Steam now. Remember though, it’s in Early Access, so it’s not finished, and it will have bugs.

I am looking forward to more single-player and co-op content getting in, which should be after the next update. The next update is focused on their online "Hell Week" mini campaign. The Hell Week looks like it will be a series of matches between online players, and sounds like a lot of fun to be had. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

I have high hopes for this game. It's something different than all the CoD/Battlefield FPS and CoD/Battlefield copycats.
