The early access racer Coffin Dodgers has been updated and now has Linux support. As far as premises go, this one is one of the more original ones I've seen in a while.

Official About
SteamCoffin Dodgers sees you take on the role of saving one of seven quirky retirement village residents, each racing for their soul in "pimped up" mobility scooters against none other than the Grim Reaper himself. Our old heroes are armed with a variety of homemade weapons and gadgets to take on anything the Grim Reaper and his Zombie army may throw at them. Can you survive the retirement village?

I'm a fan of games like Mario Kart and SuperTuxKart so my curiosity has been piqued by Coffin Dodgers. The idea of the elderly racing around firing projectiles and setting traps for their opponents tickles my fancy. I dig the cartoony graphics as well and appreciate the option of splitscreen multiplayer. Online multiplayer, unfortunately, hasn't been implemented yet but it is a priority for the developers.

You can grab the game on Steam. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

History, sci-fi, technology, cooking, writing and playing games are things I enjoy very much. I'm always keen to try different genres of games and discover all the gems out there.

Oh and the name doesn't mean anything but coincidentally could be pronounced as "Buttery" which suits me just fine.

Quoting: GuestThe best MarioKartLike game is Sonic & All-Stars Racing Transformed, i pray to spaghetti monster every day for a Linux port.

True that. I have the Windows version and its tons of fun. It's actually a game that has too much content IMO (I hate the flying parts) :))). Plus you can get it for like 2-3 bucks.
