NOT A HERO sounds like a pretty crazy game, and it looks pretty nice too. The developer confirmed the game should come to Linux this summer.

The developer has taken on a crazy persona, and took to the Steam forum to confirm it:
QuoteBUNNYLORD'S UNDERSTANDING OF LINUX IS HORRIFIC LAME YUKI. HOWEVER A GLANCE INTO THE FUTURE SHOWS ME THAT BLITWORKS DELIVERED A PORT SOMETIME IN SUMMER.

About the game
Professional assassin turned amateur campaign manager Steve is charged with cleaning up the city by an anthropomorphic rabbit and mayoral candidate from the future named BunnyLord. Now Steve and his expanding roster of dubious heroes must wield their unique skills to shoot, slide, dive, and take cover behind a political platform built on ethics, accountability, and an inordinate amount of gunfire. Eliminate the criminal underworld of the city’s three major districts and persuade undecided voters to your cause, tackling the issues that matter by putting a gun in the mouth of those issues.

Through the power of ISO-Slant™ technology and a wasted youth, London-based developer Roll7 (OlliOlli) delivers the greatest 2¼D cover-based indie shooter of all-time, ever.

They also give you a free copy of olli olli if you pre purchase. (Which was enough to convince me.)

Unless you play to play it on another platform, you should never pre-order a Linux game when the Linux version doesn't exist yet.

Your sale will probably not be counted for Linux now.

I could of sworn Linux was listed on the GOG page for this game. Maybe I just saw what I wanted to see haha. Oh well, was a very fun demo on Windows so I will pick it up once it hits Linux.

The free copy of Olli Olli was probably important enough to him. There's a difference between advising him not to do this and telling him not to do this. Though I would indeed advise people to not buy things that aren't made for Linux.

This game looks nuts in a way that's right up my alley; can't wait :D

This looks great. But then again, so did OlliOlli and I kind of hate that game (I never could get used to the controls). I'm hopeful for this one.

Getting this game once it's available for Linux.

I've played this a couple of times, it was at EGX Rezzed in 2014 and 2015. It was a little awkward to control with the keyboard but better with a controller, I still died though :)

I filled out the feedback form for Rezzed both years and put "Please release for Linux" in the feedback for the developer section, glad to see they're listening ;)

Unless i can pick a platform of choice like the humble bundles i'm not really interested in bumping up stats. I only use Debian at home so that's about the best i can do.
