From the developers who gave us SteamWorld Dig and Anthill, SteamWorld Heist looks like it will be a pretty fun space adventure with good looking shootouts.

About the game (Official)
SteamWorld Heist is a game about space adventures and strategic shootouts. The game is developed by Swedish studio Image & Form (who also made SteamWorld Dig and Anthill). Play as Captain Piper and recruit a team of rag-tag robots to explore and scavenge the remains of a destroyed world. Board enemy spaceships and command your crew in a unique variety of turn-based combat, where the outcome is determined purely by your own skills.
The game is confirmed for Linux, and will release sometime in the "fall" (their words) this year.
I imagine people who enjoyed the setting and graphical style of SteamWorld Dig will enjoy this. For me this type of gameplay will be much more fun than what I found with Dig.

Heck yes! I liked Steamworld Dig a lot. I also like turn-based squad-based tactical games quite a bit (though I'm not used to seeing them in 2D sidescroller perspective... outside of Worms, I guess).

I liked SteamWorld Dig a lot too, but I had had my fill on it by the time I got through it. I think I'll enjoy the change in gameplay, and I'll probably buy this game the moment it's out.

Wow, the game looks good.
I've never played Steamworld Dig (own it from a Humble Bundle). But the similarity (in art style, at least) can't be missed. This one looks more interesting to me, though.

I loved SteamWorld Dig. Anthill isn't on Linux that I know of, but I did try the Android port (which I think was made with Godot), and it was pretty neat for what it was. Heist looks good, and I'm sure I'll be grabbing it on day one.
