Flamberge is a tactical RPG with simultaneous turns that draws inspiration from games like Fire Emblem, Disgaea and Final Fantasy Tactics. It's being made by developer Hydezeke and was funded on Kickstarter last year.

There are three encounters in total in the demo, which is available from Steam and DRM free from the developer's website. I managed to win the first one by rushing straight ahead at the enemy, but the other two proved much more challenging. The last one, which was against an armored knight, was especially difficult, and I lost my team of three several times before I managed to find a good strategy.
What's special about combat in this game is that you plan out your movement and attacks in advance. Then when you think you've settled on a good strategy, both you and your enemy all move at once. The results can be rather amusing when you completely fail to anticipate your enemy, and one of your fighters miss their target by a large margin and charge into a bush. Though it's very satisfying when you manage to use one of your team to lure out an enemy and perfectly flank and attack them with your other team members.
The game is currently in Early Access on Steam and available as a DRM free alpha through Humble Widget. If you opt for the DRM free version, be aware that it will only be updated with major versions and will lag behind the Steam version, according to this Kickstarter update.
The April release date for the complete game isn't set in stone and might be pushed back until the developer feels the game is 100% finished, as per an announcement on Steam last week. The same announcement also mentions that the current version on Steam only contains 4 missions and 4 small encounters of a planned 20 missions and some more small encounters. Maybe it's just me, but I don't see Disgaea in this… :S:

Might be the way missions are structured, with story elements before and after each chapter, and being able to replay any mission whenever you want to? Those three games were mentioned specifically in the Kickstarter campaign, but I don't know if they've said anything about which elements are inspired by which games.

No, but it is reminiscent of Frozen Synapse, to me. I've been playing the demo some small time, and it's interesting, but is certainly in alpha.

@BillNyeTheBlackGuy: I haven't played Fire Emblem, so I wouldn't know, but those three games are displayed as inspirations in the Kickstarter pitch video. I have also seen others compare Flamberge to it on Steam. Maybe it's just the turn-based combat, though that's hardly unique to Fire Emblem.
