Update: The developers have now confirmed it on their official website.
Total War: Warhammer has been officially announced, and it seems like it will be coming to SteamOS/Linux as well.
Multiple sites are reporting it, like IGN, but none give a source for the platforms stated (annoying).
The official site isn't up yet to check, but we have reached out to the developers on twitter who have yet to reply. We will update this post if they do let us know.
It looks like it will be a trilogy, so expect another two games in the Total War: Warhammer series. It also seems to be sticking to the tried and tested turn based map, but with real time battling.
About the game (Official)
Gigantic monsters, flying creatures, legendary heroes and storms of magical power take their place on the battlefield, alongside thousands of warriors clashing in real-time tactical battles. All at YOUR command.
In the turn-based campaign game of statecraft & empire building, you will find the Old World an unforgiving and treacherous place, filled with endless war and cunning alliances alike. Whichever race you choose to play as and however you seek conquest, you will be faced with a conflict that threatens to tear the very fabric of reality asunder.
QuoteTotal War™: WARHAMMER® for PC, Mac and SteamOS, coming soon.

Great news. Without steam coming to linux this blog would still be doing articles about the release of supertuxkart. But now we have a new Total war game on this OS.

If this is anything like Mark of Chaos, which really were exactly this (and kinda had a better video), it is an instant sale with me. Also now personally curious if Tzeentch (The Lord of Change) has any special role to play?
Btw, this is extra special for me. Clue, guess from where my alias were inspired; Asvar Kul, anyone?
