Trine 3 is looking to be amazing, and the developers have shown it off to IGN. We have the video here to feast your eyes on.

Previously Cheese did a bigger write up on Trine 3 as it has him excited, so be sure to take a look at that.
Still not clear when it will launch for Linux, but we hope to see a day-1 release.

looks nice.
the only problem i see with this is the feel of the distance of some objects can be trouble, when you can move at any direction.
also i was hoping to see a new character as well. But maybe there is, just doesnt show up on this gameplay trailer.
hoping for day 1 linux release.

My own initial opinion has not changed all that much I am afraid.
3D platforming does not have that great a reputation for a reason, and it remains to be seen how organic all of this will feel when one is actually playing the game. I am perfectly willing to let Frozenbyte surprise me, and I do want the game to do well, but I am still a little skeptical about how this is going to work out.
In terms of story and presentation it also does not seem to bring much new to the table, but of course with the little that we know of it now it is still too early to make any kind of certain judgments. As I said, I do want this to work, but as someone who is quite familiar with the previous Trine games, I want the new instalment to live up to the rest. As things stand, I have yet to be convinced, but I am far from dissuaded either.
Just a little skeptical, that's all.

Looks fantastic as usual, love the music too. It's great they expanded on the concept with the third dimension (although it's more like 2.5 dimentions). They could not repeat their former formula once more without things turning a bit too old.
