Jenny LeClue was funded on Kickstarter last summer. A playable teaser has now been made available, along with a new teaser trailer.

This trailer doesn't reveal much, but it hints at the kind of puzzles you'll encounter in the teaser. The initial lock pick puzzle doesn't pose much of a challenge, but it's a nice way to get an introduction to the controls. You'll get the choice between separate mouse and keyboard controls, and I found that I enjoyed playing it with just a keyboard. There is gamepad support too, but it might not work out of the box with anything besides a wired Xbox 360 controller.
Some might recall that I named Jenny LeClue my 2014 crowdfunding favourite, and this teaser seems like another great marketing move from indie developer Mografi. What made their campaign stand out to me was how expertly they managed to create a lot of hype on a tiny budget, long after the initial Kickstarter bubble burst.
The teaser doesn't contain any of the "choosiness on a massive scale" that was pitched in the campaign, but it contains a complex safe cracking puzzle and a good taste of the crime mystery atmosphere we can expect in the full game. If you want to give it a try, you can download it for free from Itch.io. The upcoming game will be available both DRM free and on Steam.
