If you’re a fan of 4X strategy games, then you will have probably heard of Master of Orion. Honestly, Master of Orion 2 is one of my all time favourite games, and now I can play it without any messing around on Linux.
They use DOSBox, but don’t you dare turn your nose up at it. I spent I don’t know how many months of my life playing MOO 2, and I will be again now thanks to GOG.
I tested out MOO 2, and like with the recently released Star Trek games for Linux, they install without an issue, and everything is setup for you ready to rock. I am extremely happy with this.
Sounds like it was an instant purchase from our GOL Cast specialist Samsai too!
About Master of Orion 1/2 (Official)

Check them out on GOG.com, they come together as one sweet package.

Well, it was entirely possible to use them on dosbox after installing manually (and they probably still launch in full screen mode by default, shutting down the secondary screen), but it is nice to have more dosbox games available right away, without fiddling with configs fixing file paths.
Still prefer to run my system's dosbox though, not the supplied one, though.

I would have rather seen Metro Last Light: Redux or Saints Row 3 getting aLinux version from GOG I still thank them for this.

I finish many times both year ago, and I prefer Master Orion I as the second introduced a lot of micromanagement in the colonies and also, after ditching grouping in fleets, some manual battle between huge fleets could take hours moving each ship one by one. But I love both.

I finished the first one on Linux last year.
Well, at least they configured the Dosbox environment to help people run the game without meshing on it.
Good one.

I play both of these on Linux often. (I'm an odd one and tend to play Moo2 under Wine) Even so, I ... may... throw some money GoG's way, as these are amongst my long time most favourite games.
