The developers of Prison Architect have sent word out that their game will fully launch in "Q4 2015". They have been on a big bug squashing run recently too.
They also launched a new Alpha with 130 bug fixes, wow.

Having a real stable experience for their full launch is a fantastic idea. I do enjoy their "bug of the day" type tweets, and some of them can be really quite hilarious, like this one:
My thoughts
I personally think this is one of the best games available on Linux, and they have certainly been using Early Access properly. They have worked on tons of features, and now that they are coming up to the main release they are annihilating bugs by the hundreds to make it a perfect experience.
I did some play-testing earlier, and before I knew it an entire hour blew away in an instant while failing at designing a prison. It's good fun, and really is a horrific time sink.
I do really love how easy it makes everything, everything is nicely laid out and the building mechanics are delightfully simple.
About the game
Build and Manage A Maximum Security Prison.
Prison Architect is the world's latest Prison Management Sim. Starting with an empty plot of land you must construct a holding cell with basic water and electricity to house your first batch of prisoners, to buy you enough time to create a proper cell block. You'll need to hire some guards, get some showers built and unless the kitchen is up and running with chefs working away you're going to end up with a riot on your hands. From there you take your prison in which-ever direction you like. A monstrous super-max or comfortable centre for rehabilitation, the choice is up to you.
You can find Prison Architect on Steam, or from the developers directly.

Today's bug: Guard got tired whilst carrying dead body to hearse. Went to staff room (with corpse) to relax for a bit before continuing.

One of my favorite games of all time together with Rimworld.

Prison Architect is a great game, and I agree they did the early access part perfectly.
However this also highlights what I consider an issue with early access: I feel done playing the game long before it's released.

I put off playing this because the tutorial was really terrible last time I checked. My brother got really addicted to it when it was in very early alpha though, so I know it's a good game, but yeah I'll wait for the tutorial (get frustrated easily).

What was wrong with the tutorial? It was buggy maybe 20 alphas ago, but it all seems pretty solid now.

It's not that it was buggy, it just didn't present the information very well at all (on the release I played). A good tutorial should introduce information incrementally, maybe over a series of levels and let the player gradually ease into the game while still enjoying themselves.
I just felt like the information was all just sort of dumped on my lap, when that happens it's a recipe for being 10 hours into a game and realising you're playing it completely wrong because you missed some really important feature out. In any case, I still think the game is very good but I'll still wait until (hopefully) they sort something better out if they haven't already.

Quoting: GuestI hope they’ll start working on a campaign / challenges soon.
The promise of a campaign was my motivation to buy the game early.
I don't play sandbox games at all.
Please don't f*ck it up! Darwinia campaign was nice. :)
