Gas Guzzlers Extreme was causing major excitement when it was planned for Linux, but sadly things didn't turn out so well.

I'm a little late on actually writing about this, but at least now you will know:

@gamingonlinux The Linux version was outsourced but the contracted party sadly did not deliver.

We did ask for further clarification, and they stopped replying again. It's a shame, but when this was all confirmed last year we had far less games available.

I'm just going to continue to look forward to Project Cars and GRID Autosport, time to move on! Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Not surprised, take a look at the Desura comments for the non-extreme version to see how they treat their customers. Everything in the extreme version was promised as an update coming in the next month or so, but then the developer disappeared for a year only to reappear with the extreme edition, which obviously was not a free update. Ever since the game came out on Stream, the original customer have been forgotten.

Too bad, the game was rather fun.

Actually it was made by Gamepires, you should ask them why they did not deliver (Source "Fellow Croatian Studio Gamepires is working on both a Linux version [...]").

Quoting: GuestThat's not good news. Sadly Project Cars is not what it promised (a simulation), so I'll probably pass on that.

Wait, what did you hear about Project Cars?
