A new Interstellar Marines update has been released and this one focuses on the Hell Week, a new multiplayer game mode that pits up to 64 players against each other in a big free-for-all.

Hell Week is the single focus point of this release and all of the major additions are directly related to the Hell Week. Hell Week is basically a free-for-all, in which the players must kill each other for combat points. It also changes some of the gameplay mechanics. For example, now your gun has limited ammo and you need to find more ammo, new weapons and also combat points in hidden containers around the map. After 30 minutes of play 4 players with least amount of combat points will be eliminated and after that every 5 minutes 4 more will be eliminated. The last 4 players left are the winners of Hell Week.

Hell Week is played on 9 Moon themed zones in total, with each zone being 400 x 400 meters in size. Each zone can have up to 16 players at the same time and is connected to 4 more zones. A player will spawn with up to 7 other players in a random zone.

You can read the full change log here and the Hell Week description here.

I'm personally not too keen on the competitive multiplayer and I'm still waiting for more co-op content, but what the developers are doing with Hell Week especially on the server architecture side seems pretty interesting. That's finally an impressive changelog. I really hope they can now get back to more regular updates.

I hope the mouse bug is finally fixed (again). It has been plaguing me since one of the first updates, then it was fixed and then it came back.

The game is unplayable for me as it is, as I can't look around at all.

Don't know about a fix, but a workaround was to go full-screen off for a sec and then back on.

I tried the trial, i got 30fps or less. Unplayable for me, can't check why (and I forget what the bottleneck was)
