Good news folks, it seems Larian are planning to release Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition on Linux at the same time as Windows!
We've been waiting too long for Divinity, so hopefully the extra wait for Linux gamers will have been worth it.
In response to asking about Linux (although the tweeted said Linus, heh):
The only date we currently have for the release is "Fall 2015". So, it's still many months away. I really hope Larian don't let us down again by delaying it further. Once this is all out the way, having Linux support in their engine should enable them to push out future Linux versions without too many issues.

I cannot wait to read the comments on this. Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition is coming to Linux at the same time it is arriving on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, despite the latter two not even being part of the Kickstarter campaign that spawned the game.

So are they not releasing the standard edition? Do we have to buy this again?

GOL covered that back in March.
The problem I personally have with it is the very restrictive, non-free license.

It'll come out if it comes out. Historically, it has nothing to do with what Larian Studio says.

I'll believe it when I see it. So far, haven't been impressed with Larian. At least they are planning on releasing the new edition for free, which helps.
