Pillars Of Eternity looks to be solving issues I had with it, and then some with the 2.0 release and expansion.

First of all, here's a look at the 2.0 update:

They are finally adding in party AI, something I firmly believe should have been in the game at release. I've not been able to play it due to the party having no AI, as I don't enjoy the micro management involved with lots of characters during a battle.

Then there's the first expansion White March, Part I:

The expansion will add additional character levels, spells, talents, areas, items, and companions to Pillars of Eternity.

How do you feel about this? I'm excited to have a more accessible game thanks to the 2.0 update.

Same as for Wasteland 2: Already spent so many hours with it (just being busy doing so), that I'll have enough of the game when this is out.

I wonder when they'll fix cloaks not being visible in Linux...
Apart from that, the patch looks great.

@Stupendous Man, unlikely to happen unless they rewrite that cloak thing themselves as it works only in Windows, AFAIR.

Can't wait for an expansion :}

A company that listens to its customers. Companion AI and individual stealth mode are great additions to the game, the only main thing that I'm missing now is companions history depth, some of them are so limited that they could have let them out and nothing would have been lost, the one for Pallegrina is specially ridiculous.

And here I thought I had overcome my PoE addiction... 70h+ ... and many will follow....

This is actually why I'm not playing Wasteland 2 until the patch comes out. Fortunately, I was distracted by other things for a while right after I got it, so I'm able to enjoy the whole thing with all the improvements when it comes out. Call it a happy accident.

I didn't know that. And now I know that I'm missing something, and I don't like that. :(

Can't be that difficult, and can't be platform specific that thing. There's some word from the developers on that topic?

Thanks.

@Khudsa, other than the fact that it's platform-specific 3rd party code I don't think there were any statements.

The micromanagement of the fights is my favourite part in these games, i realy hate, when the retarded so called ai standing in my way :P but if i can turn off this i'm ok with that, all other changes are welcome. The only thing what is bothering me, where i found time to replay PoE, Wasteland 2, and Divinity EE (lol).

Am I the only one who thinks that such games actually have too much content? I've spent 82 hours of Wasteland 2, 73 for Pillars of Eternity until close to the end, ... Who's got so much time?!? And, to be honest, the fun somewhat depletes at the end...

No you're not alone, I think that games should have higher quality content and be shorter, instead of offering more watered down content. But there are many gamers out there with nothing else to do in their lives that complain very very loudly when they think games are too short, and so they perpetuate this cycle.

That said, I've only just scratched the surface of PoE and haven't yet played W2, so I'm looking forward to updated versions. In fact, I rarely play games on release as I find they usually get much better after a few rounds of patches and improvements.

I'm looking forward to this patch, this looks very nice and adds in some very needed things to the game. Finally some party AI and single character stealth!

Just watched the video, and... wow, I wish I had these enhancements when playing the game! Really useful!

"They are finally adding in party AI"

I hope that will be an optional feature, I enjoy micro management :D.
