Valve has made some of the Steam Universe hardware available for pre-order and you can even get them early. This includes the Steam Controller and Steam Link.

The Steam Link and Steam Controller will be sent out in October if you pre-order, and the quantity will be limited. I was planning to grab one right away, but due to moving home on Monday I will have to wait and pray there's still a few controllers left to grab early.
Personally, I still think the Steam Controller looks fantastic, and I can't wait to grab one to show off to friends (and write it up here). Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

As far as I heard, some countries (Poland and France for some strange reason) are excluded for now. I have possibility to order it when logged in.

I'd love it if the controller can comfortably replace the keyboard/mouse combo on the living room sofa even for some of the use cases. That's what Valve tells us but I won't buy anything until I see actual tests from unbiased reviewers. I have no interest in Steam Link or the pre-built Steam Machines though.

I have no desire nor need for a Steam Machine seeing as I've basically built my own (okay, it's running Xubuntu not SteamOS; close enough). The controller, on the other hand; I want to touch it, caress it, whisper sweat nothings into its ear, and feed it strawberries covered in whipped cream. Hopefully they'll have Steam Controllers at a best buy or GameStop or whatever near me so that I can hold one and try it out.

Like Keyrock, I'm most interested in the controller for purchase but will build my own Steam Machine.
But unfortunately no purchase will happen from me right now. I will wait to at least next year.

Pre-ordered 1 controller and 1 Link 2 days ago when it became available. shipping to Germany didn't seem to be a problem. Let's see if both arrive before/on Oct. 16th. =)

Add to cart is available in Finland. So it's not that limited.not for estonia sadly ..i should order mine to finland then.. its just a short trip away :D

I wish the Steam Machines said what kind of GeForce GPU was in those Alienwares.
Of course my current needs can only make use of the Steam Controller & Steam Link - I would be interested in buying a Steam Machine if I had the extra cash, but I couldn't imagine buying an i3 @ 450 knowing how sub par i3's are - but maybe in comparison to XBONE and PS4 it's equivilent if devs optimize right - hard to say.

That might be speculation, but I hear somewhere those are GTX 860M. Those are equal to GTX 750.

I bought the controller the moment I saw it. I've grown increasingly unwilling to play a game without a controller. I play on the couch and the thought of dragging my keyboard and mouse out and connecting them is usually all it takes to keep me from playing the game.
I've seen enough about how the steam controller works to know that it will absolutely replace a K & M for all but the most demanding PvP shooters ... and even then it might be good enough to at last relegate my K & M to the corner and leave it there.
