Alien: Isolation is a terrific horror game, and a franchise I get extremely excited for. Alien: Isolation is also one of the few "Alien" based games that wasn't a let down.

I actually played it on PS4, but I got rid of my copy quite a while ago and never finished it. Honestly, I found it far too scary (that's a good thing). It really does deliver, and it looks like it will come to Linux.

Thanks to SteamDB:

As always, this isn't an official confirmation, but good supporting evidence towards a port!

About the game (Official)

All-right ladies and gents, let's not have a "what qualifies a port" war.

I got it for free when I bought my R9 290. If this turn out to be a good port, I will buy the season pass to support the people porting it.

Quoting: MaelraneSo if it's not a port, what is it? A little hint, a port is a port, no matter if it's native or not.

I wouldn't consider it a port if its native and in-house. Then the Win version is just a pre-release to test if its worth coming to Linux :D

I've seen plenty ppl finish this game and STILL I'm gonna buy it.

Despite being a bit too long this game is a MASTER PIECE, IMO.

*happy dance*

I am very excited about this. I haven't played an Alien game since AvP back in '99, and that wasn't a horror game by any means.

Would love this, I watched a full LP on youtube as I never thought it would happen. Oh well by the time its a reality and I have cleared my ever growing backlog I will have forgotten most of it.

It was a bit quiet about upcoming Triple-A Linux games lately. Very nice too see we have this awesome news around. Will defintly buy this one (as long as its native).

Question:

I bought the base Alien Isolation many months ago - on Windows.
Never expected that game to come to Linux, tbh.

Now, who gets the money for the season pass when I buy it on Linux once it is released?
Will it go to the porting company or is it somehow tied to the where the money of the base game went?
Obviously the question only makes sense if it is not ported inhouse.

Is this another AAA coming to Linux? That is just too awesome.
