Codename CURE is a reasonable well rated first-person shooter on Steam, and it has been updated to include a Linux version.

The game is free to play, so you lose nothing by trying it. It has quite lot of positive reviews going for it too, if you trust user reviews.

About the game (Official)

Codename CURE is a first person, co-operative zombie game with support for up to five players, providing immersive, fast-paced zombie fragging with fully dynamic and objective-based missions.

As a team of special military operatives utilising a range of powerful weapons and equipment (assault rifles, shotguns, sentry guns, supply chests and more), players are tasked with curing infected areas of a post-apocalyptic world by planting controlled explosives before pulling a short sharp exit.

CURE can be played both on and offline, with or without computer controlled team mates. The game sports a variety of difficulty options which adapt dynamically with the number of players. It includes five balanced player classes: Pointman, Support, Assault, Technician and Sniper.

Find Codename CURE on Steam.

Try it, and tell us what you think to it!

You do not have to play it, and it costs you nothing if you do. What's the harm?

Don't get me wrong it's cool that the made a game and everything and it's for linux as well, but all of these zombie games that has been coming out lately i'd like to see something a little bit more different monsters, aliens anything.

Yeah, I agree.
I'd like to see different monsters too. There are a lot of choices: aliens, vampires, robots, warewolves, goats (lol), whatever

Agreed. Or they could have been a little more original with the story : given that they use the source engine, and many of valve's games' assets, a zombie shooter in the half-life universe would have been kind of cool... You know, a bit like opposing force, fighting zombies as a MP member.
