Feral Interactive Are Teasing Us, Again

Feral Interactive are teasing us with a picture somehow related to an unannounced Linux and Mac port.

A promise is a promise! Here’s a cryptic teaser for an unannounced Mac/Linux game. It’s tricky. Real tricky. Enjoy! pic.twitter.com/ISo6WW3zWW

— Feral Interactive (@feralgames) July 22, 2015

They did add a new game to their feral radar recently, and we believe that it's Alien: Isolation.

It's not clear if this new teaser is about that same unannounced radar signal, or another new unannounced port.

Personally, I think it's great that they tease us, but they still have to deliver on Shadow of Mordor yet. We are a patient bunch though, and whatever it is, it will be awesome I'm sure. If Feral could release Mordor before the end of July, that would be a swell birthday present for me, hint hint.

What say you gamers? What do you think this new teaser is for? A google reverse image search claims it's to do with "Islamic Golden Age". Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Nah, it's Medieval II: Total War. Makes sense because Feral has a working relationship with Sega as a publisher (they've ported Empire and are working on Company of Heroes 2) and because they've brought over other games in the Total War series. 1001 Nights was compiled during the Islamic Golden Age and part of that timeframe is covered by Medieval II.

Working with Sega you say? It could be "Nights into Dreams." Wouldn't that be cute?

"Somehow" is definitely the key word here. You're all so good at figuring these things out that we decided to make this one ridiculously tricky...

You're welcome. :3

*lol*

It's a book, so it must be Book of Unwritten Tales 3!

OK, so it's not a simple guess. Let's do a complicated one: A Thousand and One Nights --> Aladdin --> genie --> magic lamp --> Magic Lamp quest --> Witcher 3! *drops the mic and walks away*

Thanks ellie... which rhymes with smelly.

Ok... 1001 as binary converted to decimal is 9. "Engine engine number 9, coming down Chicago line." Chicago is synonymous with the mafia. So it must be Mafia II. :P

Witcher 3, Alien or Ex human...please

Something something something, Half-Life 3 confirmed.

Prince of Persia maybe?

I'd love it to be that PoP: http://store.steampowered.com/app/19980/ =D

But Alien Isolation would be awesome too ofc..

The picture text is I assume is in Arabic.

Google translate of "Somehow" English to Arabic back to English again is

"In a way or another"

similar enough to "One way or another"

"one way or another" the Blondie song Which appeared on the album Parallel Lines

This song has appeared in the PC games Rock Band 2 and some Guitar Hero games but also Driver : Parallel Lines

So I guessing it could be Driver : Parallel Lines

Well, I haven't guessed right on Feral's, or Aspyr's hints, so I grin at the responses and wait for something that'll make me a smiling penguin! :D

Well "rustybroomhandle" rhymes with "mustygloomvandal". So there.

Whatever it means, I know for sure it means one thing: I'm gonna buy it.

My weird Theory

If you rotate the manuscript you can see some kind of a shadow and eyes...
you get this

I can see a resemblance to this

So I guess is EVOLVE ...

I don't know how that Arabic (?) text possibly could translate to D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die, but it would be really swell if this was D4: Dark Dreams Don't Die.

My weird Theory

Not so weird... The author of the Necronomicon is the mad Arab, Abdul Alhazred, after all.....

(I'd be really happy if it turns out to be Assassin's Creed, though.)
