Feral Interactive look like they will soon be kings of the Linux porting business, as they are teasing yet another new port on their radar.
In their "soon" section is a new Linux & Mac clue titled "Terror is a best laid plan". If you google that quote you will find David Bowie's "Loving The Alien". That wouldn't mean much by itself, but we have this after the recent SteamDB activity for Alien: Isolation, so it wouldn't take a genius to match them up, but it could also be a trick.
As usual, only time will tell what game it's meant for. Either way, we know it will be a good port, as they showcased their porting prowess so well with XCOM. Shadow of Mordor may be having a little extra time in the oven, but we know it will be worth it too.

Some you may have missed, popular articles from the last month:
Quoting: KeyrockLook, I'm glad Feral is getting all this business, but where the hell is mah Shadow of Mordor? That game has been "very soon" for over 1/4 of the year now.
Now, now, good things comes to those who wait, no? ;)
They did a brief reply on the reddit linux_gaming forum, here's a snip: "Sorry about the delay. You guys have been really patient with us while we get the game into a state we're happy with. Stay tuned."
Read between the lines and they are having some polishing trouble, hopefully nothing major. Just sit tight.

Quoting: srlsboyIt's on sale. 75% off. We will miss it when the port is released.
Nothing is released on Linux until it is released on Linux.
Please do not buy games based on promises or rumours just because they are on sale. In the best case you are depriving the Linux porters of their payment, and in the worst case you are just buying a Windows game.

Quoting: gojulSame here, they're teasing, teasing, but nothing happens. It would be fine they release their ports first. :'( Shadow of Mordor was expected to be published in Spring.
You are right. There have been 5++ teasers of new games since the last actual game release. I don't really wait for SoM so I hope that they might skip it, cause there are lots of interesting games in the pipeline.
I can remember a time when the radar had 1 to 2 entries per section. Its great that there are lots of games coming to Linux, but they probably have too much work for too few developers.

Yeah, wasn't it just a few months ago that they teased some new upcoming port which we never even got told what was? I distinctly remember something about a whale...
Stop with the teasing and start releasing!
Although, on a more positive note, if they do port Alien Isolation soon, and it works with the controller, I'll buy it.

Actually I can understand there are delays but in that case they should better handle their communication, including publishing news on their Twitter account. Because this way it looks that their ports will come alongside Hurd 1.0...

I bought Alien Isolation when it was on sale before I'd heard they were porting it, which now means I have to wait to play it ON Linux. So hurry up and release it already :D
Same thing was with ARK, ended up stopping playing it on Windows so I could play it on Linux. But then of course Satellite Reign's beta was released, so I've been playing that much more than any other game.
I'm just excited that so many games are being released for Linux, and I really appreciate the devs who release them simultaneously instead of releasing their game, then farming out to porting houses which have to then port and probably fix a bunch of bugs as well.
Of course this also brings up that some ports (not because of the porting house, just because of APIs used in the original) are sometimes not as good. An example would be Borderlands 2, which doesn't have the PhysX (or which ever physics API they use, can't recall) in it, so liquids and particles don't look as good.
Sorry, back to topic, the real questions here are A) If they're porting Alien: Isolation to Linux, is it going to have all the graphical frills of the Windows version, and B) is it going to support SteamVR, because that would be absolutely amazing.

My biggest fear is Feral biting off more than they can chew. Hopefully all the increased business means they've hired more staff and/or refined their process. I hope they're not getting in over their heads.

I'd be more excited if it was Lego Jurassic Park...

Yep, never buy a game for a Linux-based operating system, until it is available for a Linux-based operating system... I'd like to say that common sense prevailed in my case, but nope - I learnt that the hard way and bought a game based on a false promise.
Never again.
No matter how much I want a game, I simply will not buy a game until it is available for Linux-based operating systems... Otherwise, the developer will not see a cent from me.
And if it is a particularly big title (e.g. a so-called "AAA title" ) that I think will "further the cause", a game I really appreciate or want, I'll make a genuine effort to buy the game on or near Launch Day... If I cannot do this (in the Real World, not all of us have mountains of disposable income...) and it is a particularly big title (e.g. a so-called "AAA title" ) that I think will "further the cause", a game I really appreciate or want, I'll usually buy it at full price (i.e. not when there is a sale on).
