Tomorrow isn't just my birthday, it's also the day Feral Interactive seem to have something "special" planned for Linux & Mac gamers.

Hi Mac gamers. Hi Linux gamers. Do you think something special might happen tomorrow?

— Feral Interactive (@feralgames) July 29, 2015

Feral Interactive have a lot of ports lined up, and with Mordor being a little behind schedule it could very well be that! What an amazing birthday present that would be!

I have no idea though, as no one from Feral has given us access to anything, so we will have to wait and see.

What do you think it is? The hype train is real.

Update: Checking their Feral Radar, it seems Mordor has been pushed back into the "Soon" column rather than "Very Soon", so we doubt it is Mordor.

The "Depth Charge" clue is now in the Very Soon column, so it looks like it may be whatever that clue is. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Quoting: melkemindI'm guessing WB is cracking down on their porting contractors and will probably put Feral's Shadow of Mordor through extra quality assurance testing to avoid another Arkhan Knight fiasco.

From the recent FAQ change it doesn't sound like it will be a smooth experience for "us" AMD users.

Glad, we now have the Steam Refund policy.
I can give it a try and get my money back in case of abysmal performance.

So, do we all agree the "special" announcement is Evolve?

I just hope it's an actual release, rather than an announcement. I mean, if they add yet another game to the radar that's cool, but I kind of want a game I can actually play now more than yet another game floating just out of reach in the nebulous future.

We have said stuff: mainly thank you for being so patient, because it really is appreciated. We can't really go into deets, though. Stay tuned, and all that. Stay tuned.
That really makes you wonder. If he can't go into details then it almost makes it sound like the delay is business related rather than technical, because surely they'd be able to tell us if it was a technical issue.

Why do you think details of technical issues is something they like to share?
This is not my experience.

For example, I as an AMD user, would really like to get some detailed information about Catalyst-specific issues. As you might know it's mainly a performance thing. Kind of: "this GL-function gives us headaches, because it behaves like <issue-here> and not as expected <short-description-here>".

Imho, this would be really interesting to get a good idea of issues with the porting process and what's actually going wrong with Catalyst. But from my experience companies do not want to share this kind of information. :(
