Just like with Amnesia: A Machine For Pigs, Frictional Games has given out pre-release keys to a big group of gaming YouTubers for preview. This is our first real look into the gameplay of this upcoming horror game.

Following videos were picked from my subscription feed. You can most likely find even more videos either now or little bit later if you do a quick search.

Remember, these videos are only previews so we cannot be 100% sure that this is what the game will look like once it's out. The gamers have also been instructed to only show limited gameplay and it most likely decided for them which areas they can record.

About the game

SOMA is a sci-fi horror game by the developers of Amnesia and the Penumbra series. The game takes place in an underwater research facility called PATHOS-2 where things have gone wrong. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

I am a huge fan of Penumbra series, and enjoyed Amnesia, so I have really high expectations for this one. By the way, Amnesia and A Machine For Pigs should not be mentioned in the same sentence. :P

We asked to do a Linux preview FYI, but they said no. Sad, but not unexpected.

I couldn't watch the first video because that guy was ridiculously obnoxious and I couldn't stand more than 10 seconds of him. The second video was cool.

!ACHTUNG!
Press MUTE before watching the first video.

Yeah ... some "utubers" are really a pain in the ass to watch.

Be patient Young Master.

I wouldn't be impressed if in like 3-4 they start asking you for a preview on their games.
