Absolute Drift was mailed in by a user (thanks), and having given it a go it’s one of the weirdest experiences I have ever had.

The soundtrack is really quite great, and is something I can imagine myself listening to in the background happily all day. The mechanics are all there to make it interesting enough, but for me it’s a bit too minimal. I love racing games, but a game purely about drifting isn't something I found entertaining for very long. Mainly as you’re doing the same thing over and over. The car also feels way too much like it's driving on the slipperiest ice I've ever seen.

It doesn't work correctly with multiple monitors right now, so you will have to play it in windowed mode if you have more than one. I tried setting it right in the config file, but it gets overwritten each run. I have reported this to the developer.

the persons that grabs they key can tell us if the car can go faster, because in the video looks like they are drifting but too slow I dont lke that sensation.

Any opinion about Coffin Dodgers vs BlazeRush?
I played ReVolt as a kid, would like to find something fun with a large choice of tracks.

Both are fun, but Blaze Rush is much better in my opinion. Coffin Dodgers is just your random kart game, fun for a while but lacks variation. Blaze Rush is more like Micro Machines - five or so different worlds, each world has quite a few different tracks. The game has three play modes (simple race - rather annoying; king of the hill - quite fun, and death race - definitely the strongest feature of the game, providing the most fun in multiplayer); single player campaign also features "beat the clock" tracks.

So, if you like kart races and have some spare change - get both of them. If you have to choose, get BlazeRush.

Yeah, the car isn't that fast, but it is like some other drifting games (the drift tracks from Need for Speed Underground, as an example), where you can't reach a high speed.

Gad. Don't I see enough car commercials with drifting? Now a game?

Yes, I'm a curmudgeon.
