The latest installment in the cyberpunk RPG franchise has launched and is a day-1 release for Linux.
This is a title that I've been looking forward to since its successful Kickstarter campaign. I'm a fan of the blend of dystopian cyberpunk and fantasy elements found in the Shadowrun setting. The previous two games were enjoyable singleplayer adventures and the developers seem to have listened to fan feedback when creating the newest installment. That means more story and more polished interfaces and game mechanics.
It's a good time to be a fan of computer RPGs. Between Shadowrun: Hong Kong and The White March, the next few days are going to be very busy for me. I don't think I'll be the only swept up in adventure and intrigue either.

HONG KONG. A stable and prosperous port of call in a sea of chaos, warfare, and political turmoil. A land of bright lights, gleaming towers, and restless spirits where life is cheap and everything is for sale.
Shadowrun: Hong Kong is the third standalone game in Harebrained Schemes’ critically-acclaimed Shadowrun cRPG series. Quoting: metro2033fanboyahhh...i didnt even get my hands on DragonFall yet and aint buying games until i finish some more...yet Trine and Honk Kong are my next on list aside MadMax!Do we know when Mad Max is coming out for Linux? The lack of a SteamOS logo on the Steam page leads me to believe it won't be day 1.
Anyway, Shadowrun: Hong Kong has been running great on my machine so far and I'm really liking the game, as I suspected I would (liked Returns, loved Dragonfall)

After I fixed the monitor issue it worked fine for me. Reset my computer and now it won't launch. Weird.

I backed this on Kickstarter but have barely played Dragonfall, so I won't be getting around to it for a while. Probably a good thing since I'm sure there will be bugfixes.

I totally lost the game from the radar and was quite surprised to find it released on Thursday. Downloaded the game already but like others, I haven't finished Dragonfall yet and will start to play it only after I played through Dragonfall.
It does look pretty good though and the intro video really has a great vibe to it. I'm certainly looking forward playing the game.

Thumbs up for the game. The story is very good so far, it really drew me in. I have finished both SR and Dragonfall and I like both. Technically the game improved a lot, new features made it more fun to play. I probably won't be able to finish it before the release of White March, but I am quite confident that I will finish it.

Oh and the name doesn't mean anything but coincidentally could be pronounced as "Buttery" which suits me just fine.
