I finally took some time to sit down with The Talos Principle in a livestream the other night, and wow I was pleasantly surprised by it. I've never been one to really get engrossed by puzzle games, as they usually end up too boring for me. Something about The Talos Principle had me completely hooked, and I ended up sinking 1.7 hours into it according to Steam.
I think having a puzzle game that's first person, and quite beautiful really helped get me into Talos. I did feel a bit stupid at the start, as I don't have to really use my brain very often while playing games. This is mainly due to being an FPS junky, but I am trying to push myself to other games to enjoy a wider variety.
Once I got the hang of it, I was able to do certain puzzles with blistering speed, and that seemed to impress our editor Samsai quite a bit. Heck, I even impressed myself with some of it!

Dirt Showdown .. Multiplayer with friend, cause singleplayer campaign is just garbage imo.

I'm currently obsessed with Super Hexagon; still can't beat the Hexagonest level (where 'to beat' means, 'survive longer than 60secs), but I did 'beat' the first 'hyper' level ... so I keep practicing ... and practicing ...

It runs very well and the gameplay is very rewarding, once you get into it, you learn from your mistakes and at each game you make progresses.

I've fallen in love with Terraria. Such a big game .... so much to explore, and the pixel art is amazing. Everytime I go down mining there is always someting new waiting to be found. My fingers ache so much from all those digging and sword swooshing :)

KOTOR2 and Shadowrun: Hong Kong. Having real fun with both of them so far, and a nice change from all the platformers I've been playing lately.

I'm still going through my PosChengband addiction :D If you're looking for a good roguelike and you're not afraid of ASCII, then this is the game for you.
Funny thing about this particular roguelike is that the Linux version is not as user-friendly as the Windows version which a) runs perfectly via Wine and b) is easier to configure than the Linux version. Also, this game has a quest where you fight against Bull Gates and Micro$oft sooo there's that :P

I'm ~66% into Shadow of Mordor and I find it quite entertaining. The Talos Principle is better (because of the depth) but I've already finished it and it doesn't really have much replay value, aside from getting some missed achievements.

Just finished Talos Principle (+ Road to Gehenna)....what a fantastic game. Next up is Bioshock Infinite with the DLC's and then Shadowrun. :)

Short version:
Celestian Tales: Old North – the direction is right but there is still a long road ahead.
Invisible, Inc. – was surprisingly fun.
Freedom planet – is awesome :3
Deponia (1, 2, 3) – some things you need to do are pretty unusual %) Still in the middle of 3rd game.
Pillars of Eternity – was a good one, but I'm still undecided whether I should play an expansion as it seems it will add additional areas before final battle, not after it… I probably will but that decision feels weird to me %)

- Shadow of Mordor: Fun, but often feels unfair. I really don't like how the Batman-like combat system only sort-of lets you control your character (I never understood why the Batman games get praised for their combat; it's their stealth sections I love, but their combat bores me), and the death sequences are too annoyingly long to let you get back in quickly if you do die.
- Binding of Isaac: Rebirth: Yeah, I'm still playing this one. I finally unlocked both the negative and the polaroid, so I'm fighting through challenges and other unlocks. Soon I shall unlock The Lost, and hopefully I won't break too many keyboards before I beat it with him.
- Ark: Survival Evolved: I have tamed a T-Rex. He is beautiful. I've also gotten to the level where you can start fabricating things like automated turrets and assault rifles; quite cool what you can do in that game.
- Absolute Drift: Really short, but enjoyable. I finally got over 1,000,000 points in a race just yesterday. I'm probably done for a while, though - everything is unlocked, and I'm not sure how much interest I have in spending *that* much time on it.
- Shadowrun: Dragonfall: I'm starting again. I want to make an unarmed character, but it wasn't very friendly to that when the game was first released. It seems like a lot has been changed since then, though.
- Pillars of Eternity: This is easily my favorite game of recent memory. I love the complicated combat. I'm not as interested in the AI updates as everyone else, but I'm definitely excited for the expansion.
