This isn't something done by us, but it impressed me so much I felt the need to give this video some credit. Arma 3's performance using Virtual Programming's eON tech is rather amazing.
I really hope they update it to the latest versions, and promote it as an official port. I did a livestream of it and found it to be really quite good myself. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

Pertty sweet!
I remember testing out Borderlands 2 on SteamOS (Ubuntu) and WIndows 7 and it ran smoother on Ubuntu by something like 5-10 fps, constantly. Great to se another game running smoother on SteamOS!

I remember when VP released Witcher 2 last year, they've made a lot of progress since then. I like what I'm seeing and if this turns out to be a cost effective way to deliver not-too old Windows games to Linux then I say bring it on. :D

Great performance. I was always pro-VP as long as the performance is good and now it seems VP performance will not be an issue. I hope they will bring many more games to Linux, games that otherwise would not get a port.
I also hope they will bring Arma 2 as well but I don't think this will happen.

Hey! It's not just the video, this is a channel full of SteamOS vs Windows comparaison just like this one. I hope this one will shut up those people that pretend that Linux ports are doomed to have worst performance than Windows.

Impressive performance. Up to now, virtual programming always seemed like a bit of a hack and a poor alternative to a native port, but if we can consistently see results like this then I'm all for it.

Great job by VP. I thought they did a great with Bioshock as well. Played the whole game on a rig with mid-range specs and it ran smoothly the whole way. They've certainly delivered in my book.

Generally i'm noto so convinced of VP . in spec ops there where sudden freezes and lags that foced me to quit or restart the console. Debugging has to ne painful with such technology. I hope this tech matures further.

Exactly! Tons of them, and they are pretty darn interesting. It's the kind of performance comparison I've been wanting for a long time.
EDIT: ... But how did he get the Arma 3 Linux version? It's not out for Linux yet? Who is this guy?

Waaaaah, but it's not native, waaaaah. I want a native port even if it runs like my PC is a potato, waaaaaaah. I wonder how the purist fanboys would react if VP convince Bethesda to port Skyrim. Once again - great job VP.
Sorry, not going to happen. Good luck convincing a big Japanese company to port for Linux. They had a hard time getting convinced to port for Windows. That is why the first one is such a crappy port - they literally had never worked on a Windows game before. That is why they thought 720p was ok, 30fps was ok, low res-textures were ok etc. and that is why they really botched the keyboard/mouse controls and failed to add a remapping option.
Even if they managed to convince Namco and port the game, they'd still have to figure out how to make DSfix work in Linux. And I'm pretty sure Namco would not agree for them to implement a mod in their game. Japanese gaming companies are both stubborn and very mod unfriendly. It's that console mentality, I guess.

Hereby I can confirm a better performance by working on ubuntu (14.04/15.10) than on windows. Both tested with nvidia 355 drivers. It seems unrealistic, but it's fact: windows native apps loose against vp applications!

I never expected to say this: "Nice work VP". Optimize your OpenGL renderer to the max and it will outperform DX. Dota2 is an other example.
