As part of an ongoing series of asking you stuff, today I ask "What was your favourite Linux game release from August?".
Personally, I'm seriously torn on this, as we had quite a number of great releases, but I think it's going to have to be Company of Heroes 2. The game has hooked me in with the interesting cut-scenes, and the great gameplay.
I've already put 9 hours into the game, and I even managed to play against Feral Interactive developer Edwin Smith yesterday for the BeatFeral livestream event they held. Beating Edwin isn't an achievement though, as he stated openly how bad he was:
I look forward to playing more of you in Company of Heroes 2, but until then, what was your favourite Linux game from August's releases?

Shadowrun Hong Kong. Haven't played Sat Reign yet, but that also seems my cup of tea.

Shadowrun HK for me.

I didn't actually buy anything last month, mostly due to me being afk for >50% of it, and playing Terraria and Shadow of Mordor.
So I guess Terraria has to be my response.

Would have gone for COH2, but the free weekend showed it just didn't work well on my GTX 750 ti, so I'll go with the totally awesome Pillars of Eternity patch, which came alongside the DLC release and made the game much less grindy.

i would say CoH2 but without the multiplayer there is little fun to be had, played 15 hours not one multiplayer game in all that time. only one person in my friendslist plays coh on linux, the rest of the linux users don't bother with the game.
the public games list is always empty. and i'm sorry liam, i can't find u on steam
maybe a GOL event with Coh2 is in order?
So my favourite release of august has to be Planetary Annihilation Titans, Cuz it works like a charm and it has multiplayer

I must say Terraria - I didn't really buy anything last month, IIRC. The new games would have been great, but I'm on AMD with the open source drivers and an aging graphics card. I am waiting for the OSS drivers (incl. amdgpu) to catch up, as well as vulkan to materialize, to do a full PC upgrade.
Ah, and waiting to finish my studies, I almost forgot it :P I don't really have money to spend on a new rig right now ^^

Shadowrun: Hong Kong and Satellite Reign were my favorites so far. Guess I've been in a neo-retro mood lately. I loved the old Syndicate game back on my IBM 486 pc so I had to get Satellite Reign... the CRPG series of Shadowrun has been great fun.
But next on my list is COH2 and Stars Beyond Reach.

I haven't played many of the August releases, so my answer falls to: [Celestian Tales: Old North](http://store.steampowered.com/app/315860/)

As it stands at the moment, it's a toss-up between Big Pharma and Shadowrun: Hong Kong. Next month, I'm really looking forward to Sword Coast Legends.

I know it was the end of July, but I loved The Talos Principle: Road to Gehenna DLC. I bought a copy as soon as it came out. I can't get enough of this game, and I would love to see a sequel and/or another DLC. Simply awesome.
