The FPS junky in me approves of this, the developers of Insurgency added the Linux port to their official Trello todo list, and it looks like it already runs.
They do note it still has some issues to work out, but the release isn't far off now. They previously stated they want it out before Steam Machines, so I can't wait to try it.
You can find Insurgency on Steam, but please don't buy it until the Linux version is released.
Thanks for pointing it out Ben.

Some you may have missed, popular articles from the last month:
It's ashame that they have to do all the porting work themselves instead of valve giving them cs:go's Linux code. Still it makes me happy that they haven't forgotten about us.

Quoting: HoriI own it already, can't wait to finally be able to play it. I tried it 1.5 years ago when I still had Windows and I had very low FPS on the lowest settings, I hope that the Linux version + optimizations since then, will make for a playable amount of FPS. As long as it runs smoothly, the lowest settings are just fine (except for the resolution, which has to be native)
Last I checked it a few months back, the FPS drops were still a bit of an issue. You'd expect Source engine game to not dip under 60fps on a 290x but... yeah.
