Grid Autosport could see a Linux release soon, as an eagle eyed anonymous user emailed in the fact that it's now in the "Very Soon" column of the Feral radar.
I was very impressed with the recent Dirt Showdown port from VP, so let's hope Feral do us proud with their racing game too. We need more of them that's for sure, as we are pretty starved for decent racing games still.

Racing alongside a teammate, you must overcome key rivals and satisfy team sponsors in ferocious races where every pass and position counts. In a huge career, specialise in your favourite racing discipline or conquer them all feel the aggression of the pack in Touring Cars, manage tyre wear and race into the night in Endurance events, race Open-Wheel cars with precision, show car control in Tuner events and react on the fly in Street races. Bursting with content, GRID Autosport features over 100 routes across 22 incredible locations and the world’s most exciting contemporary and classic high-performance racing cars to collect, tune and upgrade. Bring it on, Feral! Will you buy it when it's released?

I've read through some reviews and threads, and it seems this game has rubber-banding?

I can understand why they might have put it in though, I mean who wants to play a racing game where you're so much better than the AI that they are always in your dust, where's the challenge in that?

Me totally. I cannot remember which game it was, but I had difficulties to win the first races. So I tried and tried, got better on it, and finally, I had mastered the game and had won all races. Then I did the first race once again, just for fun, and lapped them all (not sure if it's the right word, I was able to drive more rounds then them). I had my challenge, and, I could get to see that I really had gotten better on it.
Who would want to play a racing game where, at whatever difficulty level you play and however good or bad you are, the other cars are always only some seconds behind or some seconds in advance? Not me, for sure.
Which is sad, because it looks very good, just like photos, and I'd love to buy yet another Feral game!

Valid points, and I guess I agree with that too. We will have to just wait and see!

I played this for a few hours on a friend's ps3 a year or so back, and had plenty of fun. I'm sure it's not the most realistic simulator out there, but in my opinion that's a point in the game's favour. There are other options for people who prefer realism to enjoyment. Not that this one is anywhere near as arcadey as Showdown and it's ilk.

As a huge fan of racing games I recently bought Dirt showdown but have been disapointed by the game. I want to RACE, not to hit other cars ! So I'm waiting this one ! And remember that Project cars should still come to Linux. One day I hope...
