The developer of InfiniTrap has sent in a few keys for us to giveaway, it's interesting because it's made on Linux, and it's pretty hard. It's from the mind of Yanick Bourbeau who recently wrote a Linux game development editorial on gamasutra, so it's nice to see the developer still working away at it.
About the game
InfiniTrap is a fast paced maze game for hardcore players. The game will start off with 20 levels and will be available on Windows, OSX and Linux.
Every level starts with the player character standing on the start tile. The start tile is perfectly safe-- No, trust me. It's safe. Once you leave the start tile, you have a limited time to reach the treasure before the level crushes you. To complicate things, each level will include a number of obstacles to waste your time and possibly kill you. You can make your own levels!

Developping games on Linux is awesome because those starved penguins are going to be so grateful that they will promote you with passion, help you fix your bugs and bring many ideas to the table, as they are not zombies trapped by their OS.

For me.. Programming ANYTHING on Linux is so much better because you can really customize your work station. And.. Workspaces! Every time I have to work on Windows machine I am raging so much in my head. Working on Linux just consumes much less time.

That looks pretty neat. Also cool to know it's being developed on Linux.

I don't know why its better or worse to develop (games) on Linux because i use Linux 99,9% of my time at work and at home. All i know is i have to puke as soon as i am forced to use Windows and i would never ever develop anything volunarily on a non *nix platform. At work i dont develop games but at home there is something on progress which could end up on steam some day :)

Why developing games on Linux is awesome? Because why would you reboot/change your machine for it if you are already doing everything else on Linux?
If the question is why boot linux at all, the answer is easy: you can learn how things work and customize anything and everything because duh it's OSS.

As I have started now playing around with Unity3D and Godot all I can say that development under a Linux Machine is fantastic.
Literally I can do whatever I want without any obstacles or limitations or some weird stuff happening while I am working and what I mean by that....

Developing on Linux is great, since because it is much more stable. Any glitch or hang can be usually dealt with a xkill of killall and even in the rare occurance of a major segfault its still not the blue screen of death.
EDIT: Bah wolfyrion, you beat be by 3 minutes!
