We wrote about MegaSphere back in July and it has seen a release now, but I held off on covering it as it had some annoying control issues which have now been solved (hooray!).

About the game
Play as a special ops combat unit sent to investigate why the stars around Solar System are going dark in MegaSphere — a story-based post-cyberpunk action platformer adventure game of supermassive scale set in early 22nd century: smart guns, robots, self-reconstructing environments, and vast AIs.

It even has a demo folks, so you have nothing to lose by trying it out. I found it to be already quite good, but it's one I want to personally play when it's much more finished, so I've only tried the demo so far myself.

You can find MegaSphere on Steam. It's another Early Access title, but at least it has a demo to try!

If you have tried it, let us know what you think to it. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

If the game is in the same state of the demo, you better wait a fell months.

Gamepads work, but is still poor optimized. This is a game made with keyboard and mouse in mind, and gamepad compatibility is a afterthought. You move with one stick and aim with another, so to jump you need to use your index fingers, but the developer make you use the top buttons, not the triggers... Yes, you can shoot with the right trigger, but why not jump with the left trigger?

And still is another 2D platform, poor optimized, very simple Unity game, too heavy to play at 1080p without a discreet GPU.

And to finish, is still not a Steam Big Picture friendly, it shows a popup menu when you launch, that need a mouse to click.

So it has much potential, but still is in the very early stages of it development. Better wait to the final release. It does not have a "Assault Android Cactus" early access quality.

I've got two hours in this game and am loving the hell out of it. Looking forward to seeing how development progresses.
