All pre-orders should still be delivered on time, but if you order them from now you won't get your Steam Controller until December.

Sounds like their demand was a bit higher than they expected! Taken from the Steam store page for the Steam Controller:
QuoteEstimated Delivery: December 2nd - December 9th

* The estimated delivery date is for new pre-purchases on Steam. If you have an existing pre-order from before Oct 19th, you will receive your Steam Controller on Nov 10th.

I spoke to "GAME" recently where my pre-order was done through, and they didn't really make me feel very secure about when I would get mine. I'm still hoping mine does arrive on November 10th to give you guys my thoughts on it, but who knows. My order was done months ago, so I do hope GAME pull through for me.

Thanks for letting me know Kallestofeles. Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

I just barely made it. I ordered October 16 and just got an estimated delivery date of November 10.

Still not available to pre-order in Australia, so I'm not following the hype. By the time it makes it here, I'm sure I'll have forgotten about it.

I'm sure it's a fine controller, but who pays $150 for a gamepad? I guess some people do, since there is apparently a market for them, but yikes, I would never spend that much on a gamepad, even if I had disposable income a plenty.

Someone who pays 400 € or more for a gpu? You know you can't be a real gamer unless you have the hardware to prove it. But in all seriousness, who pays 60 € for a game?

My enthusiasm has cooled somewhat after the first impressions I'd read, but the tinkerer in me can't wait to try and find perfect settings for each and every game I own.

There should be no apostrophe in the title of the article, BTW. It now reads Steam Controller Is Now Have a Later Shipping Date. Whi'ch make's n'o s'ens'e. :-)

An apostrophe+s doesn't always mean "is". It can be for missing letters, showing possession, etc. That said, I'm still not clear myself :D

Edit: Either way, I've edited the title to not make my head hurt about grammar :P

This news sorta refutes all the naysayers saying the Valve hardware would never take off.
So a gloating HA! to them.

In related news, I adore my new Steam Controller, and I'm going to marry it.

(My fave config is to reverse the left stick and pad so that movement happens in the pad-now-rollerball and the stick becomes a D-pad. This arrangement allows something very close to the control and precision I get with a K & M. It's already my favorite controller. There's just no going back to the slower response times of traditional game controller's analogue sticks.)

Oh! I'm gushing. Sorry, but I'm in love. :)
