I have to hand it to Alienware as they really are trying to do a push for their Steam Machine units, we have another video to show off, this time from Trisha Hershberger.
The good thing about this video for me personally, is that she looks like she has small hands and can reach all the buttons. That was actually one of my worries, as I've seen a few people mention they've seen people who can't reach all the buttons.
I should be able to give you some real thoughts of my own on the Steam Controller next week!

I fully agree with Trisha saying Valve needs to add Twitch integration. This is such a no-brainer that I'm SHOCKED Valve hasn't done this yet with Steam. Also, just recording in general. I do LP videos and I'm not sure how recording the traditional way, using SSR, would work on SteamOS, since, to the best of my knowledge, the desktop and Steam Big Picture Mode are separate sessions. On my Xubuntu rig it's no problem, since it's the same session. Valve really need to integrate either SSR or OBS into Steam, or make their own recording software that's integrated into Steam.
As for the controller, my hands aren't huge, but they're not tiny either, so I can't relate to people with small hands, but I have no problem using the face buttons, once I rewired my brain to know where they are instinctively. A bigger problem might be for people with large fingers since the buttons are so small and close together that they may have problems unintentionally hitting multiple buttons at once. I don't have that problem, but I could definitely see people with thick thumbs having it.

I believe it's essential to make it easy for people to install supplementary software on SteamOS. An example is XBMC or Kodi media centre software to make up for the limited media centre capabilities of a stock Steam Machine. Similarly, I'm sure one could hack in Twitch streaming quite easily.

Wrong there I was streaming Pillars of Eternity from my Linux desktop to my Linux laptop over the summer when I was laid low with a broken ankle.

At one time you could in-home stream from a Linux PC, but it's not available at the moment.

Actually, you can do "in-home stream" from Linux PC to Linux PC, I can assure you. For the broadcast I have no experience with it.
