I've been keeping an eye on Parkitect for quite some time, reading up on the development now and then as it looked promising. They have just release their Linux version, and it's already bringing back glorious memories of binge playing Theme Park.
You can read their update post here that announces Linux support.
I've tried it out, and I was able to mess about for a while and pick up what to do quite quickly. The graphical style is pretty cute, and I love the fact that I can see each individual customer get on and sit in the rides. That's a really nice touch that I think people will really like.
I also find it pretty nifty that placing benches and trash cans down snaps them into the path you're placing them on, and it makes it look really quite cool.
I love the fact that they have already put in the ability to load mods, as mods can be important to keep games alive and make them more interesting for specific cases.
Performance wise, I turned it to max and couldn't see a problem, but remember I am on an Nvidia 970 so your performance will vary.
Also, an honourable mention to the scrolling advertising billboard at the front of your park, slick little feature that.
Final thoughts: I feel sorry for the kid who's balloon flew off, cheer up kid. It's pretty cool, cute graphics, already quite nice gameplay for a sandbox. It's "pre-alpha", so what you see is what you get.
I give you, Park GOL:
About the game (Official description)
Parkitect is a business simulation game that charges you with the construction and management of theme parks!
Simply put, you build the rides and manage the parks, and management is key! The parks need planning, more planning than just where to put that crazy rollercoaster. Lay down the infrastructure to remove trash and deliver supplies to the shops quickly and efficiently. Hire staff to run your shops, rides and attractions, and be sure to keep them happy.
They are aiming to go in Steam's Early Access program when it has more features and content.
You can check out Parkitect at the official website.

I am seeing this sentence here all the time these days and I can't fathom why. This does not seem like useful information to me.
IIRC you also have a 560 at your disposal? Please consider testing it whenever you have an urge to talk performance.
