Feral Interactive are pushing the boat out once more, and they have another clue ready for an unannounced port.

The clue is "THE ROYAL SCAM", and the image to go with it is this:

I'm always trying to make every clue be the Fifth game... There's royalty, though not sure how the picture relates to anything.

Happy for it to be Dishonoured. Bought it in a sale before I knew better, but not played it yet. I'll find a way to contribute again. As I would if it was number 5...

This might help...

Looks like it might be a linux/mac port. Does that help any of you sleuths?

Oh boy.

I'm no good at this.

I know it is very unlikely but could Metal Gear Solid V be the game?

Well, when GameStop announced the Steam Section planogram, Metal Gear Solid V was definitely on the shelf.

Here's the full list of games in that article's pictures:

Fallout 4
Just Cause 3
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain
LEGO Worlds
Counter-Strike: Global Offensive
Final Fantasy Type-0 HD
Cities: Skylines
ARK: Survival Evolved
RUST
Warframe

However, the following Steam user took a picture of the Steam Section at his store, and look what we see!

OMG Uncharted 4!!!!!!

Just Kidding. ;)

That's all just marketing though. To me that's simply saying, you can use your Steam Link to play all your Windows based games on your couch.

I just highly doubt that Rockstar would port GTAV to SteamOS.

The Royal Scam is the fifth album ...
Need I say more?

For someone like me who more than likely wouldn't see the connection, yes. Fallout 4 being the 5th of the fallout franchise - (1/2/3/New Vegas/4) . . .?

As much as I'd love Fallout on Linux, that's a pretty big jump and has absolutely nothing to do with the rest of the given hints.

This might help...

That's where the entire article came from, so no, not really.

...

Why? You can get it on Steam for Windows.
The Pic says nothing more than "Available on Steam" and not "Available for SteamOS", but I would look forward to a Port.

There are 3 people in the picture.
GTA V has 3 protagonists.

Case closed.

The lyrics to 'the Royal Scam' mention 'the City of St. John', which is supposed to be in Canada; and it's implied in GTA V that Trevor Phillips is from Canada -- so, there you have it, it's GTA V.

"GTAV on Linux" is our Half-Life 3. :)

Fallout 3...?
DMJC 19 Nov 2015
I solved it, it's Napoleon: Total War. Napoleon blew the Sphinx's nose off with a cannon, and he was a pretender to the French throne. It is also a game in their existing library, so they didn't have to do anything to get the license.

just to share my thoughts : there are 3 characters, a young one, an old one, and the highlighted one is in between those ages. Could we say he is of "Middle-age" ? Then I don't know enough games to know which game it could refer to

Don't forget Fallout Tactics.

It could be argued that Fallout Tactics is not part of the main series, rather a spin-off.

Maybe is because im old... but i dislike the teasing u.u

Either give it to me, or let me be happily ignorant... (Dishonored would be awesome tho)
I agree. If you have something to say then just say it. If you don't, shut up until you do.

But I guess it's a marketing thing: they put out a teaser, sites like this pick it up, people start speculating and debating about what it could be, and there you go: free publicity.
lucifertdark 19 Nov 2015
Hmmm - the first title that came to my mind is Dishonored, although that was probably wishful thinking since the story was about an empress and her daughter - they don't count as royals, do they? But there was definitely a scam at play in that game.
Actually an Empress is classed as royalty, Queen Victoria was also Empress of India, so yes it's Dishonoured.

To be fair, it says those games are "available on Steam", not SteamOS, so I wouldn't get excited about it just yet.

So could be with New Vegas ;)

I would argue New Vegas is part of the main series despite not being a numbered entry on account of playing like the other games. 1,2,3, New Vegas, and 4 are all essentially the same type of game, despite the change in perspective and game mechanics going from 2 to 3, whereas Tactics is an entirely different genre of game altogether. It's the same way that I would consider AssCreed Brotherhood, Revelations, etc. as being part of the main series, whereas I would consider Chronicles as spin-off.
