It's time for another edition of "GOL Asks", and today I am asking about games you have been playing and loving or hating recently.

I will open up the floor to you, my lovely users to tell everyone what you have be doing. I haven't asked this question for a few months, so it will be interesting to see what people have moved onto.

Personally, I got a little bit sucked into Galak-Z recently, as you might have noticed by the article. I'm the worst pilot in the word, but I love it. I really need to do another Alien: Isolation livestream, but my god, there's not enough RUM in the world to make me do that ;) Article taken from GamingOnLinux.com.

I'm still trying to survive This War of Mine,
solved my first puzzles in The Talos Principle: Road To Gehenna
and I had a great session of Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime with my non-gaming fiancé!

I've been playing Hard West, a damn good turn-based tactical game, and Vendetta: Curse of Raven's Cry, a pirate RPG that's quite clunky and cheesy in many ways that I'm nevertheless having a ton of fun with (being able to roam the seas on a man o war probably has a lot to do with my enjoyment factor).

The Talos Principle: Road To Gehenna. (Just finished - really good DLC)
Chaos Reborn.
Dungeon Defenders.
Alien Isolation.

Me, I played this here visual novel: Brilliant Shadows. I can recommend it, for what it's worth, if you're into these sort of things. It's no high literature, but it has a few interesting ideas, and is less cliché than a lot of other VNs.

After finishing Shadow of Mordor, I am now playing The Witcher 2 and my annual play of Grim Fandango remastered.

Finishing up Shadow of Mordor.
Bought Cryptark but my rig can't handle it. :(
Alien: Isolation but a little too scary for me.
Before that Pillars of Eternity, kinda taking a break from that.
Kingdom, a little.

Your PC can handle Mordor, but not Cryptark? Was that a weird joke? It's a simple 2D game.

My girl plays Ark as her chillout from work game.

I seem to be buying games & playing little coz work, but its nice to have a selection.

Picked up Road Redemption & a Steam Controller, RR seems like N64ish.

Storm United is my #1 game of interest right now with Steam Controller or Xbox 360 Controller.

Just played through "DEX: Enhanced Edition", a cyberpunk platformer with quite a lot of rpg influences. Much better than I had hoped or expected, if only the graphics had been awesome like those of 2D platformers "Stasis" (coming to Linux) or "Deadlight" (windows only), then I think I would have giving it full marks.

However, as the graphical art is only decent/reasonably appealing, this lowers the athmosphere/ambience of the cyberpunk world quite a bit, so.....8/10

Armello, ARK: Survival Evolved, Sid Meier's Civilization: Beyond Earth, Left 4 Dead 2, Alien Isolation, and Rust.

Haven't played ARK much since I got annoyed at the graphical bugs, multiplayer limitations, and a fecking skeletal raptor killing all my tamed dinos in two seconds.

Haven't played Alien for a little while either, since I find the mandatory stealth sections almost impossible and infuriating.

Only just started playing Armello again since there was a bug that stopped it running on nvidia drivers for a couple of weeks.

Invisible, Inc. whenever I have time. Not that there was much of it lately. It's actually surprisingly nice.

Haven't touched Satellite Reign since the slow loading times. No idea whether that was fixed by now, although I don't think I've seen any updates on GOG.

I have to admit that I'm pretty monotonous in that I almost always only play Kerbal Space Program. I do play other games from time to time, but KSP is my go-to game when I have some time off. That and Europa Universalis 4, but since I haven't got the new DLC I'm taking a pause from that until it goes on sale.
However, I'm also continuing my Pillars of Eternity game, I think I'm getting close to the end now. Then there's Alien Isolation but I'm not always in the mood for that, and honestly I'm starting to get tired of replaying sections due to the awful save system. Last time the Alien jumped down just in front of the save point and I had nowhere to hide: goodbye 15 minutes of play time. And really, now that I've seen the Alien it's not really that scary any more. I mostly enjoyed the first 2-3 hours of the game because I had no idea what to expect.

Oh, and I recently started a new game of Civ 5 after a year's hiatus. That's always a great time sink.
