Magicka 2 Officially Released For SteamOS & Linux

After a short beta period Magicka 2 is now officially available for the roll out of Steam Machines, and for those of us on normal Linux desktops too of course. They accidentally pushed it out earlier, removed it again and now it's officially out.

I wonder how many "now on Linux" posts I'm going to be doing today, a few I hope!

I tested it out on the beta briefly and the performance was really quite good, and their communication on the forum has been great. I'm still impressed that the developers added in specific graphical settings you can adjust to help the performance on AMD GPU's, that's really great to see.

I will most likely arrange some games across this week online to celebrate, and will livestream some of them.

About the game (Official)
The world’s most irreverent co-op action adventure returns! In the next chapter of Magicka, players ascend from the ruins of Aldrheim to experience a Midgård almost wiped free of Wizards after the Wizard Wars, with the few that do remain having either gone mad or extremely hostile toward all others.

To rid the world of evil, again, up to four Wizards, and their guide Vlad, will traverse Midgård armed with the next iteration of the famous Magicka dynamic spellcasting system, as players reprise their roles as the most overpowered, unpredictably funny Wizards ever known to fantasy!

i'm sorry, i find this quite dissapointing. its the launch of the steammachines and this is it?
this seems not quite right. At least one major title should have been released. the future of the steammachine seems a litter gloomier. not even a pressconfrence or anything like that.

i hope valve has something more up their sleeve, cuz this is a bit of a partypooper

Bought it, and have to say, sadly not my kind of game...

Oh god, can't stop laughing at this, I've had too much lucozade today and not enough sleep recently...
