Good news AMD CPU fans, Feral Interactive has released a patch for Alien Isolation which should help you a little bit. There's other fixes too.

Changelog (Sent to us by Feral)
* Improves Mouse sensitivity issues seen when using certain Linux distro's
* Fixes occasional launch issue when running the game on an external drive (OS X)
* Improves performance on AMD CPUs (Linux)

I'm still not brave enough to venture back in just yet, but I will get around to it and I will likely livestream it when I do!

If you still haven't picked it up, why not?

Progress is progress. It's good to know they're still trying to improve it.

AMD drivers just suck and dont offer enough performance and features than the rivals. Accept it. Its the fault of AMD. and AMD only

Well an an AMD CPU user... Not had a chance to actually play but it launches a whole lot faster with no stuttering. Before the update could drop to 1fps as it ran the launcher video. Seems to be making better use of my 8 cores too with more of them actually working - heard my case fans kick in for once!

I'll put in a hour or so of game time tomorrow to check but tbh it ran pretty sweet before (loading excepted).

Rig is;

AMD 8350 @ 4GHz
NVidia GTX 970
16GB RAM

Settings pretty much maxed out

As someone who had the mouse sensitivity issue this update makes the game finally playable for me ^_^
