Not quite as bad news as the Rocket League delay, but Divinity: Original Sin - Enhanced Edition for Linux & SteamOS is being held up by some memory corruption issues.

@wstephenson @tesfabpel @israndomasis We're fighting some elusive random memory corruption - once we find it, we'll release.

— Swen Vincke (@LarAtLarian) December 18, 2015

Originally Swen stated they wanted to release it last week (in that same twitter conversation), but it seems they haven't been able to nail it down yet.

About the game (Official)
Gather your party and get back to the roots of great RPG gameplay. Discuss your decisions with companions; fight foes in turn-based combat; explore an open world and interact with everything and everyone you see.

You take on the role of a young Source Hunter: your job is to rid the world of those who use the foulest of magics. Embarking on what should have been a routine murder investigation, you find yourself in the middle of a plot that threatens to destroy the very fabric of time.

Update: You can see it at the start of their new video

I vote for new functionality on GoL - marking tags that describe articles you won't see. I would love to have DoS tag and to add it to this new forbidden tags list.
Larian crossed the line, and I just don't want to hear about this title anymore.

Random memory corruption is code for we're focusing on unannounced iOS and Android ports instead. ;)

I can't wait for the announcement we get in February about something else holding the Linux port up. It's going to be high-larious.

Well, I'm still looking forward to the hopefully coming release, and will probably be one of those who are going to suffer the initial version, before the first bugfixes ;-)

I read about this earlier today, hopefully the wait will not be much longer. Despite the delays, I'm still positive in Larian.

This type of bug can take anywhere from 5 minutes to an eternity to fix, I hope it wont be an eternity.

At least someone here is familiar with software development. Seriously people, be glad they iron that kind of problem out instead of delivering a game that hard-locks your display driver causing a kernel oops or some such.

Having played my share of games with spotty Linux compatibility (original Linux release of Shadowrun Returns, anyone?) I'm grateful that we'll probably get a game that runs smoothly without a bunch of weird glitches making the whole experience an exercise in tedium.

EDIT: Note, I backed the game on kickstarter, so I've been waiting as long as anyone here.

I knew this would happen, even wrote Liam for him to ask. Sadly it's par for the course.
